Kiama Rugby Sevens 2018

SOAK UP THE LAST OF SUMMER IN KIAMA RUGBY SEVENS

The sun may be setting on summer, but there’s plenty of seaside fun awaiting you in Kiama.
From sampling gourmet flavours to after-dark adventures, here is our line-up of ways to soak

up the last of the sunny season. And great sport like the Kiama Rugby Sevens.

SUNDAY SOIREE.
Savour those summer flavours with a Sunday Session at Penny Whistlers. Perch yourself to
take advantage of the harbour views and settle in with a glass of local wine or delicious
artisan coffee. Stay for tapas until 7pm, or return for dinner from Thursday to Saturday where
the eatery champions local produce. Try the braised chorizo and grilled haloumi to start,
share a cheese platter or choose from delicious mains including crab linguine and Brazilian
seafood stew with mussels, calamari, scallops and market fish. We’re also eyeing off Pete’s
Belgian chocolate mousse with poached berries and biscotti for dessert.
Find it at 5/31 Shoalhaven St.

MARKET VALUE.
Taste and stock up on local produce at the Kiama Farmers’ Market. Held every Wednesday
from 3-6pm, this is your chance to take home fresh fruit and veggies, honeys and jams, and
other local delights. Why not use some of these local creations in your favourite camp kitchen
meals, and then submit your recipe to our Eat, Camp, Cook cookbook? You’ll also go into the
draw to win a week’s free accommodation in a Kiama Holiday Park of your choice. Now that’s
food for thought.
Email your entry to recipes@kiama.nsw.gov.au, with a photo if you have one, and the subject line
‘Eat, Camp, Cook Competition’.

GREAT SPORT.
The annual Kiama Sevens returns to the Kiama Showgrounds on Saturday, February 24.
Whether you’re playing or supporting, it’s a fantastic chance to round up your friends, family
and little loves and get along to the seven-a- side knock-out competition. There will be
picnicking and the usual facilities available, as well as a licensed bar.
