Kiama Coast clean up: Take 3 for the Sea on Clean Up Australia Day

Are you ready to make your mark this Clean Up Australia Day? Kiama Coast Holiday Parks is excited to be a part of Take 3 for the Sea – a global movement on a mission to tackle plastic pollution and promote waste prevention.

Take 3 for the Sea has the simple message of asking people to take three pieces of rubbish when they leave the beach, river, creek – anywhere.

We are thrilled to invite all our amazing guests to join us to ‘Take 3 for the Sea’ at Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park, Gerroa.

How you can dive in: From Friday 1 March to Sunday 3 March, we're turning Clean Up Australia Day into a fun initiative to give back to our beautiful coastline.

Head down to the beach or river during your stay at Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park the weekend of Clean Up Australia Day and collect three pieces of rubbish.

Bring your collected rubbish to Reception and our team will be waiting with open arms (and a big smile).

Sweet rewards: As a token of our appreciation, we're treating every eco-warrior staying at Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park who participates in our initiative to an ice cream (sustainably wrapped, of course!) ... because nothing says "Thank you for caring" like a cold, creamy treat!

Why get involved? Let's make waves together! When our community bands together, big things happen! Did you know Australia tosses out a whopping 2.5 million tonnes of plastic every year? Only 12 per cent of this is recycled, with the rest ending up in our parks, roadsides, bush, waterways, and oceans or in landfill as rubbish. By jumping into the eco-friendly action, we can turn these numbers around. It's all about making a positive splash and being the change we want to see!

Family fun: Get the whole gang involved! Clean Up Australia Day is iconic and has the power to inspire and teach young children about waste issues, sustainability and how to take care of the environment. It's a fantastic way to bond with the family while teaching kids about the importance of recycling initiatives and fostering a more sustainable future.

Protect the animals: On Clean Up Australia Day, pieces of plastic, both small and large, are picked up. This effectively reduces the amount of plastic that can be eaten by animals, birds, and sea creatures.

Spread the word! Share your Clean Up Australia Day experience with us on social media!
